Summary
Since originally built in 2004, the Carolyn Strauss Collection’s website had grown from a few static pages to hundreds of unique pieces of content (with new media-rich content added quarterly). The company was forced to add each new page by manually creating a new HTML file and updating all internal links—an error-prone process that took hours.
Vector was able to seamlessly integrate the Expression Engine Content Management System into the site, doing a custom modification so that the company’s unique “Collections,” with their different layouts and image-types, now take only minutes to add.
In addition, the entire site architecture was reworked to allow for some of the future online growth plans the Carolyn Strauss Collection has. Because of the modular design, adding new features or site areas will now take far less time than it would have.
